EuroBiocide IV Background Products with active substances already in the union list of approved active substances according to art. 9 al. 2 BPR should have an authorization or an application should be applied for. Common strategies to avoid applying for authorisation are to add into the product an active substance which is not yet in the union list or just to do nothing and go on selling the product. Targets The internet trade shall be monitored for such products. The report has to show the number of illicit products, the number of products with addition of another active substance and the number of products with authorization (per substance and or PT). Focus is on the following PT: PT8, PT14, PT18 2017
EuroBiocides III The purpose is to: • Make the trade and producers aware of the new obligations • Develop harmonized enforcement tools Where non-compliance is found it is intended to provide information and advice to the traders and responsible producers rather than to take direct enforcement action. The information and advice may be provided, for example, by distributing so called 'yellow cards'. Member States may choose a farther-reaching enforcement approach. 2014
Ozone depleting substances Since 01 January 2010 it has been illegal to use virgin HCFCs to service refrigeration and air conditioning (RAC) equipment. From 01 January 2015 it is also illegal to use any HCFCs to service RAC equipment. This includes the use of recycled and reclaimed HCFCs. The Chemical Legislation European Enforcement Network (CLEEN) intends to raise awareness and ensure compliance of the EU ODS Regulations and EU F-gas Regulations by monitoring Internet sales from retailers and Internet market places in the participating Member States. The monitoring will be conducted from January to September 2017. The enforcement bodies taking part in the project will take all actions necessary and impose due measures within their competence to make a seller remove a non-compliant product from the market, or make the necessary changes to ensure its compliance, including contacting the market place operators to request the item is removed from their site. 2017
